- The
content was previously played and cached by the browser - click Main / Cached Links and try to find the cached
file or delete the file from Windows cache folder Internet Temporary
Files. (option not available in WM
Recorder 15)
- Network
adapter not detected - click Menu, Settings, Recording modes then
click ADA
mode and re-check the adapters. Try to uncheck the Match IP box.
- The
recorder was not active when you start playing the content. To
enable URL capturing try to refresh the web page..
URL
not captured in WSX mode - AUTO recording doesn't start
- The
content was previously played and cached by the browser - click Main / Cached Links and try to find the cached
file or delete the file from Windows cache folder Internet Temporary
Files. (option not available in WM
Recorder 15)
- Browser
not opened from WM Recorder - open the browser from the main menu
(YouTube tab) or click Menu, Options, Open Browser and select the browser
- The
recorder was not active when you start playing the content. To
enable URL capturing try to refresh the web page..
Recording status shows CANCELED
- The
URL is not valid, points to a server/file that doesn’t exist, has
been discontinued – for HTTP URL's copy the URL, open the Media
Player compatible with the file format (Windows Media, VLC), find
the Open URL option, paste the URL and click OK to play.
- Some
web sites change the URLs immediately after the content begins
playing. In this case the captured / saved URL has no use.
- The
server is busy – use the option Reconnect Forever from Settings
(Windows Media only)
- Your
Internet Security software blocks some of WM Recorder components to
access the Internet – click OPTIONS / Check Internet Connection
to check if these programs are blocked.
Recording time smaller than play time
- The
recording time (DL Time) shown in the recording window is equal to
the play time only for streamed files (files broadcasted at the same
speed as the content bitrate). Otherwise the download time can be
smaller or much smaller than the actual play time.
Flash RTMP
URL not captured recording doesn't start
- DRM
encrypted stream. Illegal to de-encrypt and download in US and other
countries.
URL captured recording doesn't start
- URL no longer
valid - WM Recorder shows error. Try to play the
stream again from the web site
- WM Recorder shows
"No data received" - WM
Recorder will reconnect. Use the Video Clone screen capture.
HTTP flv, mp3, mp4...
URL captured recording doesn't start
- The stream URL
was changed by the moment you clicked the browser link - Use the Video
Clone screen capture.
- The content was
previously played and cached by the browser - Use
the Video Clone screen capture.
